O.K. it has taken me two weeks to get this one done - I am still having issues with getting the pictures to download correctly and working on my new e-pad has been a challenge but I am not giving up!!
This blog will begin with our family Spring Break trip to Georgia. Way back when we decided that this year we would take an entire week for vacation, which we have not done for awhile, and we all presented an idea for vacation. Can you imagine our family having a "friendly competition?" Grant had the best presentation, with a very compelling argument for the College World Series. He had statistics and pictures and charts. Unfortunately we were not able to all get away during that time of the year. Emily and I decided that it would be a great time for Disney - but Scott has not had enough time away from it yet, maybe next year. Now Scott, the master of internet surfing and the man who always has a plan, came up with the idea of going when both kids were on Spring Break. We (Scott) looked into several places and came up with the Ritz Carlton Resort at Reynolds Plantation. (Carrie Underwood got married here and we thought we could hang with the rich and famous too).
Our original plan was for Grant to go visit Emily at Auburn and then Scott and I drive up and pick them up and go onto the resort. But now that Emily is home we all left together and enjoyed the 15 hour ride to Greensboro. We were able to convince Scott to stop in Birmingham the first night and then drive the rest of the way the next day. Here we are enjoying the ride.
